About: Dark roast lovers rejoice! Blue Pine is a specialty coffee produced by the Kok Ki Chante cooperative in Haiti's Kolen region. Cultivated at an elevation of 1,450 meters, this fully washed Caturra varietal embodies the rich heritage of Haitian coffee farming. The cooperative emphasizes ethical sourcing and sustainability, ensuring that each purchase supports local growers with fair wages and contributes to community development. In the cup, this coffee offers a bold and smooth, well-balanced experience with flavors of rich baker's chocolate and caramel, complemented by floral notes, hints of sweet cream, and dark fruit. Its full, creamy body and quick chocolaty finish make it an excellent choice for espresso, French press, and drip brewing methods. Additionally, we find this coffee is really wonderful for milk drinks and has been our go-to for lattes.
