Brainwave Coffee Roasters

Colombia | Finca La Villa Geisha

Colombia | Finca La Villa Geisha

Tasting Notes:
Fruit loops, key lime, tropical fruit

Origin: Huila, Colombia

Varietal: Geisha

About:

This geisha, grown at Finca La Villa and part of the Cadefihuila cooperative, undergoes an extended anaerobic fermentation before being washed. The result is a really remarkable cup of coffee with bright notes of key lime, tropical fruit, delicate florals, and kyoho grapes. The flavor combined with a velvety mouthfeel has nostalgic notes Fruit Loops. This is one of those coffees that is really special and one that we're so excited to be able to share with you again.

We’ve found this coffee to really shine as pour over, which brings out the florals and sweetness. It’s also a pretty wild espresso, really accentuating the fruit loops flavor, especially as a milk drink. There’s no wrong way to brew this one!

Cadefihuila is a farmer-owned cooperative in Huila, Colombia, dedicated to producing high-quality coffee while supporting nearly 4,000 smallholder members. Nestled in the Andean mountains, Cadefihuila cultivates premium Arabica varieties, known for their balanced profiles and vibrant acidity. By prioritizing quality and farmer well-being, the cooperative continues to elevate Huila’s reputation as a leading specialty coffee region.
