About: This coffee was sourced directly through a friendship we’ve developed with producer Alejandro Ariza who owns Finca la Argelia with his family. We had the pleasure of meeting Alejandro and trying his coffee with him. While cupping, we got to talking about what coffee meant to him, and he told me a story about his memory of picking pink bourbon with his grandfather as a child so that is his favorite coffee. He was inspired to produce coffee by a family friend in the coffee industry who happens to be Diego Bermudez.

His lifelong passion for coffee and desire to learn from the greats has paid off, and we’re honored to be able to share his crop with you. This sudán rume is grown at 1640 masl, honey processed with less than half of the mucilage removed, and dried in parabolic drying beds.

Alejandro really brought out some amazing flavors with his processing of this one. The cup from this coffee is extremely well balanced with notes of dried pineapple, blueberries, and chocolate. While this is a great pour over, brewing as drip, aeropress, French press, and espresso all yield great results!
